Rare Beauty of the Indian Ocean

The Indian Ocean is the new frontier for vacationers. The region has numerous island holiday spots that offer unique places to have fun. Places like the Maldives, an archipelago with over 1,100 islands has beautiful unspoiled beaches, calm blue waters and hundreds of species of tropical fish. Maldives hotels offer stunning views of banana and papaya groves, massive lagoons and virgin forests, Many Maldives hotels feature contemporary furnishings, sauna, spa, Jacuzzi, mini bar, dining room, king-sized beds with feather pillows, wet bar, 24 hour housekeeping. Some rooms even have over-sized terraces, private pools and glass over-water floors where you can watch sea life swimming below your floor. There are also fantastic ocean views, gentle breezes, surfing, windsurfing, catamaran sailing and the underwater wonder land at Kandooma Channel, one of the world's best dive locations.

Mauritius holidays are truly special. The tropical climate, cooling trade winds and lush forests on the mountainous south make Mauritius holidays incredible. Throw in water-skiing, deep sea fishing, windsurfing and cruising in yachts and submarines and surfing at the world famous Tamarin Bay and the only way to describe Mauritius holidays is mind blowing. Mauritius hotels are superior. With many of them located on the southern end of the island, Mauritius hotels offer elegant decor, stylish furnishings, ceiling fans and air-conditioning. To help you relax, there are luxury bathrooms with walk-in showers and garden tubs, spa, sauna and in room massages. The food is fabulous as well. As you sit looking out towards a beautiful ocean, specially trained chefs serve up exquisite multi-ethnic cuisine; great views with scrumptious food.

One of the most beautiful places in Mauritius is Blue Bay. Part of the Blue Bay Marine Park, Blue Bay has deep blue waters and milk white sands. The best way to enjoy the area is by glass bottom boat. The day-long trip begins at Point Jerome and heads down into Blue Bay and into an inlet the bottom of which is covered with multicoloured coral of which there are over 50 species. It is a fabulous place to see sea creatures like surgeon fish, butterfly fish, damsel and trumpet fish. Many choose to take the plunge and swim or snorkel in the lagoon and swim with the fish.

Visiting Mauritius and the Maldives is the perfect way to enjoy the rare beauty of the Indian Ocean. Book a holiday, pack your snorkel gears and head to the Indian Ocean paradise.
