Why Organic Cosmetics is the Future of the Cosmetics Industry

Skin care products are becoming a trend at the moment and is growing. Many supermarkets are increasing its offerings of organic food by 50% and as people are becoming more environmentally conscious, their interest in organic skin care and organic products has increased. Realizing the fact that what you put in your body is just as essential as what you put into your body, people are buying more organic skin care products which are without chemicals and pose less health harm in long-term. Similar to organic products, skin care products come from natural products and contain no harmful chemicals.

Organic products are regulated by US Department of Agriculture and has released guidelines to label organic products for example if something says "100% organic" it must contain all organic product but if it is simply labeled "organic" it can contain up to 5% of nonorganic material. Another example is if the labels says "made with organic ingredients" it usually contains 70% of organic material in it. If you are unsure if the product is organic or non-organic, please ask a supermarket personnel to assist you.

The organic cosmetic products are made from materials which have been grown naturally and have been certified pesticide free. Organic products are made without synthetic pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, hormones and chemical fertilizers. the US Department have been doing a great job in regulating the cosmetic companies and educating and making the consumers aware. FDA has warned cosmetic companies to eliminate dangerous chemicals or they will have to carry warning labels similar to cigarettes. These chemicals are dangerous because they can be hazardous and carcinogenic. according to research done by Canadian University, the traditional skin care treatment can contain about more than hundred chemicals on a woman's face, many of them hazardous. Thanks to the government regulation more and more organic products are coming out which are without the hazardous chemicals. There are many organic skin care products which can exfoliate, cleanse, condition, nourish, purify and hydrate the skin.

The organic skin care products are made from unrefined oils, cold-pressed, natural herb, organic fruits and flower extracts, nuts and seeds. A lemon and peach pits make great exfoliating scrub to scour dead skin cells and brighten one's complexion. Some other examples are orange peel oil, calendula and marshmallows. Rosewater are known for hydrating skin which becomes dry due to indoor heating in winter and using air conditioner in summer.

Women who have used organic skin care products, felt their skin was even more fresh and pure after using organic products and did not want to switch back to the old non-organic brands. Another great advantage of using organic skin care products is that they have a great pleasing fragrance which are made from flowers fruits and fruit oil which means you can combine and care with aromatherapy. The fragrance is used in various therapies to freshen the skin as well as lift the mood and spirit. In future, companies are hoping to replace non-organic skin care products with organic ones, thus ensuring the cosmetics using green and natural materials.
